12 nights · Private safari
From lush delta to endless open sky
Overview
An immersive journey through two of Botswana's most contrasting landscapes. Spend a week deep in the Okavango Delta — tracking lions, drifting by mokoro, and watching elephant herds cross at dusk — before crossing to the otherworldly silence of Nxai Pan National Park, where cheetah roam the salt flats and Baines' Baobabs stand as they have for centuries.
Day by day
KT meets you at Maun Airport and transfers you to your private mobile camp deep in the Okavango Delta. Your canvas tent is set up and waiting. Enjoy refreshments, explore your camp, and head out for an evening game drive before a campfire dinner under the stars.
Three days of rich game driving through the flooded channels and open plains of the Okavango. Each day brings different landscapes and new animal encounters — this is prime territory for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, and countless bird species. Mokoro excursions offer a completely different perspective from water level.
Move to a second camp location deeper in the Delta. Morning game drives are followed by optional guided walking safaris — a chance to track animals on foot and learn how to read the bush. Afternoons bring walking explorations or rest in camp while the wildlife comes to you.
Return to Maun for a comfortable night in the guest house — a welcome chance to shower properly, do laundry, and enjoy modern amenities before the second half of your journey.
Travel to Nxai Pan, an open grassland and salt pan ecosystem entirely unlike the Delta. Here, vast herds of springbok and zebra share the plains with oryx and giraffe, while cheetah cruise the open ground in search of prey. Visit the legendary Baines' Baobabs — ancient trees that look identical in paintings made by the explorer Thomas Baines in 1862.
A final full day in Nxai Pan with morning and afternoon game drives. The openness of the landscape makes for exceptional big-cat viewing and wildlife photography. Waterholes attract concentrations of animals throughout the day.
One final morning drive before the drive back to Maun for your onward flights. The Delta, the pans, and the stars will stay with you long after you land.
