Two extraordinary extensions

Your Botswana safari doesn't have to end at Maun Airport. With a little extra time, you can add Cape Town, Victoria Falls, or both — each offering something completely different from the bush, and each unforgettable in its own way.

We can help you explore the possibilities and tailor an extension to your interests, available time, and travel dates.

Extension one

Cape Town

A Perfect Beginning or Ending

Consider adding a few days in Cape Town before or after your Botswana safari. Set between dramatic mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town offers a wonderful contrast to the wild landscapes of Botswana.

Explore the spectacular Cape Peninsula, with its rugged coastline, breathtaking viewpoints, and a visit to the famous African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Discover the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, known for its brightly painted houses and rich Cape Malay heritage, or spend a leisurely day among the vineyards and beautiful scenery of the Cape Winelands. Whether you prefer wildlife, culture, history, or fine wine, Cape Town is a wonderful way to round out your African adventure.

Extension two

Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe and Zambia

After your safari, continue to the magnificent Victoria Falls — one of Africa's most spectacular natural wonders. Depending on your schedule and seasonal conditions, you can explore the falls from both the Zimbabwean and Zambian sides, each offering a different perspective on this extraordinary display of water and power.

White rhino walk — Depending on weather, water levels, and local conditions, you may have the opportunity to take a short guided walk to see protected rhinos in a conservation area — one of the only places in Zambia to encounter these critically endangered animals.

Village visit — Visit a nearby village to learn more about local life and traditions.

Zambezi dinner cruise — As the day winds down, enjoy a dinner cruise on the Zambezi River, where the golden light of sunset, beautiful river scenery, and the possibility of spotting wildlife along the banks create a memorable African evening.

Where you'll stay
